Training Day on Ailanthus altissima Control Techniques

A training day on “Technical control of Ailanthus altissima in the Alta Murgia National Park” was held on February 17th, 2015 in the “Masseria Torre di Nebbia” in Corato (province of Bari). During seminar, the project content and objectives, the plant characteristics, the environmentally friendly control strategy and the first ailanthus control results in the Park were illustred.
A guided tour to treated area and Ailanthus control practical demonstration had followed.
The day was attended by many technicians, agronomists, doctors in Forest Science, Agricultural entrepreneurs and farmers, infested area owners, the Park managers, the CNR researchers, employees ARIF and the State Forestry Corps.
